PETIT MANSENG/101-14	Grafted	White	White Wine	Zone 7
An old white variety, grown in southern France at the foot of the Pyrenees with temperatures moderated by both the Atlantic and by the Mediterranean. More cold hardy than Chardonnay. A relatively easy to grow vinifera with yields of 3.0 to 3.5 tons per acre. Clusters are very loose and the berries are tiny, smaller than Viognier. Ripens VERY late, and could easily be harvested after Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine is a sweet dessert style.

This Elmer Swenson selection produces a neutral white wine with good mouth feel and finish. In some years it has a strong floral nose.
