Highly tannic, black-berried grape grown in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, in the southwest corner of France and is widely grown in Uruguay. Tannat is also being explored in North America, with limited plantings in Napa Valley and in Virginia where the vine has proven successful in experimental trials. |

New variety that is a sweet, plump, juicy seedless grape. This seedless has a blue-black skin with a mildly sweet flavor from the Thompson seedless parent blended with a Concord-like taste. Grape is firmer than Concord and ripens late July through mid-August. |
